How do I make my first appointment?

You will receive a reply within 24 hours to confirm your preferred date/time is available and to let you know the details for your first appointment.
When can I be seen and how much does it cost?
Your first New Patient Initial Appointments costs £75 to include a Full Traditional Diagnosis and Acupuncture Treatment.
Currently appointments are available on Fridays.
What should I expect from my first session?
All new patients begin with a New Patient Initial Appointment. This is a 1 hour to 1.5 hour appointment during which you will receive a Full Traditional Diagnosis so that your condition can be treated holistically using Chinese Medicine principles. You will also receive a treatment during this appointment.
During your Initial Appointment you will be asked about your medical history, and your pulse and tongue will be examined.
How do I book a follow up appointment?
Follow up appointments are available during opening hours and are booked directly with Helen following your New Patient Initial Appointment.
Follow up appointments: £60.
Do you use moxa or moxibustion during pregnancy if my baby is breech?
Yes, I can safely provide moxa or moxibustion during pregnancy to help turn your breech baby. Please contact me if you would like this treatment, and I will send you a health screening form to complete before making a booking so that I can assess if it safe to treat you and your baby.
If it is safe to treat you both, you can book in for your first appointment. I will provide moxa treatment, and may suggest acupuncture treatment, which is all included. If appropriate, I will provide you with instructions and a demonstration of how to use a moxa stick safely at home. I can provide smokeless charcoaled moxa sticks for home use, so that the treatment is more pleasant and less smoky for you.

I am in St Ives for a holiday but need to continue to receive fertility acupuncture, can you help?
If you are on holiday and need to continue on your planned fertility acupuncture treatment plan, I am happy to help! I know the various different protocols and treatment plans that acupuncturists across the UK use to support fertility and I can continue your treatment protocol and plans whilst you are on holiday.
I am happy to receive an email from your regular acupuncturist setting out what treatment needs to be covered whilst you are on holiday. Or, alternatively, I can provide you with a general supportive, nourishing treatment from my own protocols. I will ask you to fill in a health questionnaire before treating you, so that I have my own record and assurance that it is safe to treat you.
Please be sure to book in advance of your holiday, to avoid disappointment.
